Young Fundraiser of the Year

We have written before about James Ollerenshaw. James’ chronic illness means that he has to regularly go without food and take some really foul medicine for weeks at a time.

Well earlier this year he decided that the only way to make this bearable was to get sponsored for doing it so that at least somebody else would benefit from his hardship.  James chose The Dream Factory as the charity he would support and raised nearly £2000!

James’ efforts inspired former Redbridge Mayor, Lorraine Sladden to inaugurate on our behalf an annual Young Fundraiser of the Year Award of which James was the worthy first recipient.

Thanks James, you’re a great example to us all.
